YumaPlayer APK

YumaPlayer is an open-source Android music app that combines Spotify-style discovery and interface with the YouTube Music library, plus Hi-Res lossless FLAC streaming. It is built for people who want Spotify's recommendations and look but without the subscription, paired with lossless audio quality.

Developer: MuwMx · License: GPL-3.0 (open source) · Price: Free

Before you start: this app requires Android 8.0 or newer. For Spotify and lossless FLAC features you will need your own Spotify and/or Qobuz credentials, or you can rely on the app's open community resolvers for FLAC and use the YouTube Music side without extra accounts. If you want automatic updates outside Google Play, you can add the app through Obtainium using the GitHub repo link instead of installing the APK manually.

Why isn’t YumaPlayer on Google Play?

YumaPlayer is published by its developer on GitHub, not on Google Play.

Is YumaPlayer safe?

YumaPlayer is fully open source under the GPL-3.0 license, and the APK on this page is built from the developer's official GitHub releases. The developer states there are no ads, no subscriptions and no telemetry, crash reporters or third-party trackers, and that credentials are stored only on your device encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Note this release is tagged as a release candidate (v1.2.0-RC.1), so treat it as a pre-final build. YumaPlayer comes straight from its developer rather than through Google Play, so it hasn’t gone through Google’s app review. As with any app, check the permissions it asks for and install it if you’re comfortable with them.

FAQ

Is YumaPlayer free

Yes. The README states there are no subscriptions and no advertisements, and the source code is open under the GPL-3.0 license.

Do I need a Spotify or Qobuz account to use it

No, it is optional. You can use your own Spotify and Qobuz/QBDLX credentials for those features, or use open community resolvers for lossless FLAC and the YouTube Music library without them.

How is YumaPlayer different from a normal YouTube Music or Spotify app

It combines Spotify's discovery feed and interface style with the YouTube Music catalog in one app, adds Hi-Res lossless FLAC streaming, and includes extras like synchronized multi-tier lyrics, a 5-band equalizer and SponsorBlock skipping, none of which the official apps offer together.
