LibreTube APK

LibreTube is a free, open-source YouTube app for Android. It plays videos without ads and without a Google account, and it loads them through privacy-friendly Piped servers, so Google doesn’t see what you watch.

Developer: the LibreTube team · License: GPLv3 (open source) · Price: Free

Key features

• YouTube videos with no ads and no sign-in
• Background playback and picture-in-picture
• SponsorBlock built in: skips sponsor segments in videos
• Download videos and audio for offline use
• Subscriptions and playlists stored on your phone, not in a Google account

Why isn’t LibreTube on Google Play?

Google Play doesn’t accept apps that play YouTube outside its official apps, so the LibreTube developers publish it on F-Droid and GitHub instead.

Is LibreTube safe?

LibreTube is open source: its full code is public, so anyone can check what it does. The download button above gives you the developer’s original file (you can compare its SHA-256 fingerprint), or get it from libretube.dev. Avoid “modded” copies from unknown sites.
